　　Wang Jiaoe is a full time professor of Economic Geography and Regional Development Department at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

　　She has a BA in Geography (2003) from Beijing Normal University, and a PhD in Geography (2008) from IGSNRR, CAS. Also, she has a work experience as a research assistant in Department of Geography, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2007 and a visiting research associate in the Department of Geography and Anthropology, Louisiana State University during November 2008 to October 2009. She has worked as at IGSNRR, CAS since 2010. From Apr to Oct 2014, she worked at Transport Studies Unit of University of Oxford as a visiting scholar.

　　Her main research interests are transportation geography, urban transportation, economic geography, and regional planning. In particular, she is interested in applying complex network, spatial analysis, and statistical methods in analyzing the air transport network, high-speed rail network and their interrelatedness with economic development and urban systems. Also, she has research experiences in the field of regional transport infrastructure and development, transit-oriented development, accessibility, low-carbon transport and land use.
