The institute, with the support of hosted academic institutions, publishes 11 academic journals. They include Journal of Geographical Sciences (English version), Acta Geographica Sinica (Chinese version), Geographical Research, Journal of Natural Resources, Resources Science, Progress in Geography, Journal of Geo-information Science, Journal of Resources and Ecology, Journal of Chinese Ecotourism, Journal of Global Change Data & Discovery and Digital Journal of Global Change Data Repository. Three of them are Journals for English.
