Current Appointment: Professor, Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, 100101, P.R.China;

Education:

He has a BA in Geography (2002) from Ludong University, and a MA in Human Geography (2005) from South China Normal University and a PhD in Geography (2008) from IGSNRR, CAS. Also, he has a work experience as a visiting scholar in the Department of Geography and environment education, Manchester University during November 2015 to November 2016. He has worked as at IGSNRR, CAS since 2010.

Areas of Specialization:

The main research interests of Wang Kaiyong are urban geography, spatial planning, tourism geography, and administrative division. 

Wang Kaiyong is a full time professor of Economic Geography and Regional Development Department at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
