The China Society of Tibetan Plateau
The top droit institution of The China Society on Tibet Plateau is its national representatives congress, which is convened every 4 years. The main tasks of the national representatives congress are to decide the society's policies and roles, to make and modify the society's constitutions, to vote the society's council, to checkup the work report and the financial affairs of the society. The council is the standing leader institution during the period of the congress being closed and it is also responsible to elect the standing council. The president, the Vice-presidents and the General Secretary are voted or arranged by the standing council. The general affairs of the society is presided over by the secretariats office that is situated and funded by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The secretary is in charging of the secretariats office.
