Tianjin UAV Base now in Operation
Jingjin Aoxiang Base, co-built by the Baodi district government in Tianjin and the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research under the Chinese Academy of Sciences and dedicated to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), opened on Sept 23.

Jingjin Aoxiang Base will be a scientific experiment venue for UAVs, and will support national research and testing.
The Base covers 160,000 square meters, composed of grass, sand, river and forest.
It has a 450-meter long and 12-meter wide runway for fixed wing UAVs, and two 5,000-square meter test areas for multi-rotor UAVs. It even has a 20,000 square meter fun area for teenagers.
The UAV base will be the official center of UAV innovation and industrial application in China.(China daily)
