On July 28 to August 6, Prof. LIU Yi, director of Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR) and his research team visited Kanazawa University Japan and attended international Conference on Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development (SPSD) 2011.

During the conference, Prof. LIU Yi took a presentation, titled of Towards Scientific Spatial Governance: The Development of Regional Planning in China. He introduced that strategic evolution of regional development and main projects of regional development in China.

After the conference, Prof. LIU and his colleagues visited laboratories related to geographic, energy, urban and regional development in Kanazawa University. Two partners hope to corporate further on urban and regional planning and environment protection etc..

In May, 2011, two sides signed the cooperative  and exchange agreement for graduate student.

The delegation include Prof. FAN Jie, Prof. GAO Xiaolu, Prof.ZHANG Wenzhong, Prof. LIU Jiaming and Prof.  LIU Shenghe.
