The CAS Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) has been established in Bejing. The opening ceremony was held on December 3 at the CAS Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR).

The objective of the new center is to integrate research resources from CAS institutes to carry out strategic and forwarding studies on water resources at national level or in major regions.
