Brief to the report

Environmental data often arise over complex spatial and spatiotemporal domains, where dependence across space and time plays a central role in statistical analysis. Effectively modeling such dependence is essential for accurate inference, prediction, and uncertainty quantification.

In this talk, He will present several examples involving spatial prediction, comparison of spatial and spatiotemporal datasets, and data fusion. Together, these examples illustrate how modern spatial statistical methods can leverage dependence structures to improve inference, enhance predictive performance, and provide deeper scientific insight in environmental applications.
