Topic: Human-induced Perturbations to the Terrestrial Water Cycle: a Multi-scale View
Speaker: Dr. Maoyi Huang, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA
Dr. Maoyi Huang has been a senior research scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since 2010. She conducts research on the complex multi-scale interactions among the terrestrial water cycle, ecosystem dynamics, and human activities using an Earth system science approach through model development, applications, and model-data integration.
Prior to joining PNNL, she was a research assistant professor in the Department of Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo from 2008-2009, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Global Ecology at Carnegie Institution for Science in Stanford from 2005-2008.
