Reporter: Professor Anthony Tony Fuller,Professor Emeritus of University of Guelph, Canada, Adjunct Professor, College of Humanities and Development, China Agricultural University and Senior International Visiting Scholar of Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, CAS, Professor Fuller was trained as an agricultural geographer receiving a doctoral degree from Hull University in England based on field research on rural transformation in the mountains of Italy. He was the director of the Rural Development Outreach Program at the University of Guelph from 1976-1982 and founder of the graduate School of Rural Development and Planning, now in its 30th year. He is the author of nine books, over 110 papers and major reports and has supervised over 120 master students and more than 20 doctoral students.
