International Conference on Land Use Issues and Policy in China under Rapid Rural and Urban Transformation

We have invited papers on the following themes:

1. Land use issues, strategies and policies in China;

2. Regional differentiation and modes of land use in China;

3. Land use policy (tenure and benefits for farmers) innovations in China;

4. Rural-urban transformative development and its impacts on land use changes in China;

5. Integrated consolidation and allocation of rural-urban land in China;

6. Policy countermeasures for urban expansion and farmland protection in China;

7. Policy implications of regional land use changes and their consequences in China.

There are four invited keynote addresses will be delivered by Professor Guy M. ROBINSON at University of South Australia, Professor Scott ROZELLE at Stanford University, and Professor Xiubin LI and Professor Yansui LIU at IGSNRR, CAS; and other 68 oral presentations have been selected and invited from all the 115 submitted abstracts or papers.

 NO FULL PAPER is needed to submit prior to the Conference. All presented papers are to be invited to submit to Land Use Policy (LUP), and all go through the usual refereeing process. The accepted papers will be included in the themed issue of LUP (Guest-Editor: Professor Hualou Long) on “Land Use Issues and Policy in China under Rapid Rural and Urban Transformation” (LUIPC). Basing on the referees’ comments, the other papers with sufficient quality will be published in a conference monograph either within China or by an international publisher. The deadline for submitting manuscripts to LUP through its online system is 20 November 2012.
