Introduction:Peter H. Verburg is Professor in Institute for Environmental Studies and Amsterdam Global Change Institute, head of Department Spatial Analysis and Decision Support. He received his PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University, Graduate School for Production Ecology and Resource Conservation. His Core expertise includes Land change analysis, ecosystem services, spatial analysis and modeling, landscape ecology, soil-land use interactions, GIS systems analysis, interdisciplinary analysis of human-environment interactions.
