Prof. Brierley is one of world leading scientists working in the fields of fluvial geomorphology, catchment management, river rehabilitation and water resources management. He has published over 100 research articles and two books. His book “Geomorphology and River Management: Applications of the River Styles Framework” has been an indispensable reference tool for teachers, researchers, and students in Geography and related disciplines. He has been working in many parts of the world and is now very interested in the environmental change of China, typically the Headwater Region of the Three Rivers in Qinghai. He is a visiting professor of our institute and would like very much to meet researchers at all levels in the institute. He is a very good speaker and very patient to answer any questions.
