Forum for Water Problem——the Twelfth Lecture in 2010
Topic:Multivariate streamflow analysis using Copula theory
Speaker: Dr. Lan Zhang, Assistant Professor,Department of Civil Engineering,University of Akron
Time:9:30 AM July 8, 2010
Venue:Room 411, Geographic Sciences Museum, IGSNRR
Brief introduction to the speaker:
Dr. Lan Zhang received her Ph.D. in Water Resources Engineering from Louisiana State University in 2005. She stayed in Louisiana State University after her graduation as Post-doctor fellow to continue her research on Multivariate hydrological analysis applying copula method. Then From June 2008 to July 2009, Dr. Zhang worked as water resources engineer in HNTB Chicago office, she was involved in several federal and local hydrological and hydraulic design projects. She joined the University of Akron at Aug. 2009.
Her research interests are surface water hydrology, groundwater hydrology, stochastic hydrology, hydraulics, environmental and water quality analysis, and reliability and risk analysis in civil engineering.
