 Brief introduction

Drs. Marc Metzger and Dave Murray-Rust Centre are scientists working in the Centre for the Study of Environmental Change and Sustainability, School of Geosciences, University of Edinburg, UK (http://www.geos.ed.ac.uk/research/cecs). Dr. Marc Metzger will introduce how to apply the concept of vulnerability in ecosystem service research to the quantitative assessment of global environmental change and the effect on ecosystem with numerical models.

Dr. Dave Murray-Rust will provide a review of the functions of agent-based models and their useful applications in land use research by showing several models developed at Edinburgh University recently.
