Field Excursion (tentative)
Field Trip A: July 31 (Friday), One-day field trip to Haibei Alpine Meadow Ecosystem Station for Flux Monitoring and Long-term Ecological Research, which is about 250 km away from
Field Trip B: August 1st (Saturday): One-day trip to Qinghai Lake, which is the largest inland lake in China, ranks top of China’s five most beautiful lakes in a latest competition activity by the magazine of China National Geography. Located at about 3,200 meters above sea level, the lake covers 4,300 square kilometers. It has abundant fish and other aquatic creatures, which in turn attracts large flocks of birds to perch in the islands of the lake. .

Hotels
The participants need to pay for their own hotel accommodation. We are glad to provide hotel reservation for all participants at two hotels:
(1) Jinzuo Hotel, where the training course will be held. It will charge¥320 for a standard two-beds room each night, including breakfast.
(2) Qing-Zang Dasha Hotel, which is very close to the training course venue. It will charge ¥220 for a standard two-beds room each night, including breakfast.

Registration
Registration will start from May 7, and end by 30 June, 2009, please fill the attached registration form and return it to the given address. Due to space limitation, the participants will be up to 60, and thus a first-come-first-served principle will be followed.
