First Announcement and Call for Papers
7th International Workshop of Geographical Information System (IWGIS’07)
August, 2007, Beijing, China
IWGIS has been held in Beijing every three years since 1987 with the purpose of demonstrating and discussing the integrated techniques and applications of GIS. The 7th IWGIS will be held in early August, 2007. The theme of this workshop is GIS and regional sustainable development, including various topics related to new philosophies, new techniques, and new solutions of GIS.

Call for Papers:
You are cordially invited to submit one-page abstract to the workshop. The abstract should be written in English, and should include the title, author name(s), author affiliation, contact information (postal address, phone numbers and e-mail address) and 3-5 keywords. The abstract will be reviewed by no less than two referees. The author of accepted abstract will be invited to submit the full paper which will be presented in oral or poster sessions according to the content. All accepted papers will be published in a proceeding volume.
The abstract should be submitted electronically via e-mail (iwgis@lreis.ac.cn) using Microsoft Word or plan text format.

Notification of acceptance: March 1, 2007
Full papers due: April 15, 2007
