Chinese National Committee for the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (CNC- IHDP) is an academic organization aiming at promoting and organizing Chinese scientists′ participation in IHDP activities, which is directly led by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). The Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People′s Republic of China (MOST) guides the operation of the CNC-IHDP. The CNC- IHDP Secretariat is set up in the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), located in Beijing, China.
Task
1.To attend IHDP related activities on behalf of China; 
2.To promote and coordinate the participation of relative branches in IHDP research as well as academic communication activities. 
3.To provide knowledge base and scientific consulting service for management on resources, environment, environmental diplomacy, as well as the establishment and implementation of sustainable development strategies, on national and regional scales. 
4.To participate in the argumentation of the national important project and the international co-operation project delegated by related branches.
5.To promote the public awareness on environmental reservation.
