Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service (DRR knowledge service) is one of the knowledge services of International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO. Its main objectives include drawing up global standard or best practice on disaster metadata, integrating various disaster data, establishing global disaster meta-database, establishing the DRR knowledge service system and carrying out education, training and technology exchange on disaster risk reduction. DRR knowledge service’s main functions include DRR scientific data service, DRR metadata service, DRR experts and institutions database service, DRR thematic knowledge application, DRR thematic knowledge service, DRR training service, DRR popular science service.

DRR Knowledge Service is hosted by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
