The Institute has developed close links with relevant institutions and organizations in more than 50 countries and regions in Europe, America and Asia.

The frequent academic exchanges conducted by the Institute include: 300 instances of researchers studying abroad and more than 400 instances of oversea scholars taken by the institute each year. It has also organized more than a dozen of international meetings (including seminars and workshops). A number of scholars are also taking chairmanship or vice-chairmanship in important international academic organizations.

The institute has 11 divisions of international programs and 6 joint research centers with foreign universities or organizations.
