The institute, collaborating with the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN) headquarters, renovates field experimental equipments in Yucheng, Qianyanzhou, Lhasa. These have led to the establishment of a field-observation system associated to the institute’s research direction. Moreover, at Yucheng, Qianyanzhou and Lhasa experimental stations, the carbon fluxes measurements systems have been installed.

CERN Synthesis research center and its sub-center of water have provided CERN with strong technical support for data management & integration and water monitoring & quality control.
