Progress on the Theory of Multisensor Image Fusion in Quantitative Remote Sensing

Prof. SU hongbo¡¯s research group, at the Institute of Geography Sciences and Natural Resources Research, CAS, has engaged in developing the theory of multisensor image fusion to improve the quantitative remote sensing and its application in geosciences. Dr. Chen Shaohui, a key member from this research group, made great contribution to further the theoretical study in multisensor image fusion. The group invented several new approaches in data fusing of multisensor imagery.

¡¡

The achievement in this field is expected to benefit the research community of remote sensing and geoscience. Prof. SU hongbo¡¯s group has published a series of SCI papers on this topic, including "Feature space and metric measures for fusing multisensor images", "Fusing remote sensing images using a trous wavelet transform and empirical mode decomposition", "Improving empirical mode decomposition using support vector machines for multifocus image fusion" and "The tradeoff analysis for remote sensing image fusion using expanded spectral angle mapper".
