Appointed to Department of Physical Geography at the Institute of Geography of CAS as Assistant Professor in Physical Geography in July 1987, Promoted to Associate Professor in 1993, Became Professor in Oct., 1999.

Visiting Professor of the Faculty of Geography, Marburg University, Germany. Working on “Environmental Changes in High Asia”, with Prof. Dr. G. Miehe.
