The Grand Canyon

From the grand sand valley at the bottom one can reach the Grand Canyon. The River water roars along a long lane with precipitous cliffs standing at both sides. The cliffs are piled with Sinian Limestone and DolomiticLimestone in Sinian system and horizontal formation that are over a hundred meters in broadness and take a shape of flat shovel.  Being eroded and washed by the River, phantasmagoric sights can be seen on the bank and along the river, such as Grand Seated Buddha, which is actually a piece of rock cliff; and a Divine Tortoise, which is just a piece of rock that resembles tortoise.

 

 

Valley walls erect on both sides seem to be hacked and hewed by a big axe, with the peakspenetrating into the clouds. The canyon appears more magnificent and massive with these precipitous and perfect cliffs that scrapes to the sky. Another attraction is tributary ditches on both sides of the River, most of which arelinear erosion and lie on cliffs. 

 

 

The rapids, the “Thread of Sunlight”, which is a peculiar scenic spot, the waterfalls, the roads, railways, all make Baixionggou Ditch, a significant scenic spot, featured with scene of harmonious chorus of nature and man.
