Exploring of the Canyon of Daduhe River——Brief Introduction

Along the Right Bank of Min River runs its longest branch river, the world-famous Daduhe, which is 1,048 kilometers in length. The valley has with 858km length in Sichuan Province in China, its narrowness and broadness almost unchangeable. The downstream section that splits Big Xiangling and Small Xiangling, especially the 26-kilometer-long valley that extends from Wusi Estuaire in Han Yuan County to Jinkou Reach in Le Shan City, is well-known for its precipitous cliffs at both sides and the splendid landscape, and is regarded as the Utmost Canyon in Daduhe River.
Daduhe Canyon national Geological Park, including Daduhe Canyon and Da Wa Mountain, attracts more and more visitors all over the world.
LI Mingsen, a geographer, graduated from the Geology and Geography Department of Beijing University in 1963. As a researcher of the Commission for Integrated Survey of Natural Resources (one of the two mergers of the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research in 1999), he has taken part in several scientific expeditions to Southwest China and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau during the past 40 years. Since 1973, he has been to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau more than 20 times, and left his footprints in the Himalayas, Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, Qangtang no-human zone and Hengduan mountain region.
YANG Yichou, a geographer, graducated from the Nanjing Univercity in 1957.
